88 Lt250r need advice

well i am not new to riding but still dont got that much experience under my belt. but you guys are good i just need to ask you a question..

well my quad for some reason when i start it up and shift it..it just goes a couple feet and locks up both back and front wheels and doesnt move till i shut it off and try it again and the tires lock up again. so...i was wondering what you guys think..i just put tranny oil in it..but for the facts i was out completely for like a week of riding(mabye did long term damage?)...my dad sais it is the tranny and it is gone and i need to get a new one but i would like to get your guys opinions.

kinda sounds like maybe you broke a chunk of one of the many gears inside that case, and its wedged in somewhere.

im just curious but what is your ratio of oil to gas.
