| let me get this straight, you want to fit the 85-86 lt250r on the 87 lt230. the rear set up on the lt250r has a design that uses a pivot, shock and rear link that attaches to the swingarm in two places. The set up of the lt230 is different with the shock directly between the frame and the swingarm. But if your talking about the width of the pivot of each swingerm being the same, I dont know. I sure someone else can tell you.

| Why do you want to make the swap? It might be possible, but depending on your reason, there may be a better solution. I have both my 87 LT250r (swing-arm is a Burgard 85/86 model arm) and an 86 LT230S in the garage so I can do some measuring for you. Be aware that there will be a number of mods required in order to do it even if they do fit. JJ
