lt250r clutch question

i was just wondering what u torque the screws to for the clutch springs... also are there any tricks or tips that would be helpfull for changing the clutch plates..

thanks man, didn't you get ur self a t-4 not to long ago? i think i saw one picture of it.... just wondering if u had any more pictures

What year lt250r, i know that the 85-68 has to go 7-9 inch pounds. Carful torquing further than that, I have broken two bolts off in the clutch before because 7 inch lbs is very hard to feel on a torque wrench.

I did not torq mine, missed that in the directions

I tightened them till they were snug, then made the msitake of asking my friend what he thought, snap there goes the brand new pressure plate

5-7 ftlbs is probably plenty, if you overtighten them either something will break or your pressure plate will be drawn in too far. Just remember as soon as that torque wrench clicks you are there, you will only want to get them just to start to snug before doing any torqing, 7 ftlbs. is basically nothing and if you tighten them before applying the torque wrench they may already be that tight or tighter!!
