Help 86 LT problems!!!

Do a Comp check, THe best way to find an Air leak is to do a leak Down test. Now there is a Red Neck way also.... But I do not recomend it an the only thing you can check is every thing above the case and It involves Starter Fluid...(God I hope Raptor 1 or 2 don't read this ) IF you want the information on how to do this PM me your PH.# And time to call you ...only gixxer ..... no one else.....I don't want any one calling and saying their motor Blew up and it's my fault ....

start that thign up and as it;s runnignspray carb cleaner around the gasket areas one gasket at a time. if teh quad revs up then thats your leak spot. remember to tak the stator cover off and start it also and spray some carb cleaner into the stator area also. to check for a bad crank seal

Yeah i cleaned up the engine and rode around the neighborhood a little while.It looks like a little moisture around the cyclinder base gasket.If i had to guess i would say it s that.I think im gonna tear it down and replace the head gasket and cyclinder base gasket.But after beatin around a little it seemed to idle alot better.It would idle for a little bit and then stall as if it were outta gas.Im goona spray a little carb cleaner there and see if it revs..If so then new gasket s for now and a small amount of Yamabond to the base gasket as i should of did this the first time when i changed the reeds ....I would like to tear the whole motor down and do a complete rebuild.Bottom and top end!!!

i never use yamabond on gaskets i put every gasket in dry on both cars and bikes. the factory doesn't yamagoop em so why should you

I'm a copper spray fanatic .....I spray both base and head gaskets let them tack and install....

Check To Make Sure The Carb Is Seated Correctly In The The Air Box And The Reed Cage Correctly.
