Upgraded stator?

My lighting system on my quad is crap not enough juice! So Im prolly going to get a upgraded stator to take care of that prob. But I was wondering what other things might be affected by using a more powerful stator?

I was also wondering about a battery kit. so the lights would be abit more relialble and still strong at idle! Just looking for some insite on this one. What do you think would a more powerful stator be enough to take care of my lighting issue even at idle w/out a battery?
