i almost always say a fmf pipe is a nice improvement ,but im not impressed at all on a 500 ,they are not that much better than stock even the jetting doesnt change all that much in my experiance . they just dont seem to hit the powerbnad the way it should even on a ported zilla ,ive orde with alot of zilla guys too and you really wan tto know what the best pipe is? i shit you not ,ive tested like 4 different pipes and the lrd side routed (in frame drag) pipe is totally kickass ,it really does feel like 10hp at rw! its 364$ pricey yes but 5 times the gains over that crapass 280$ fmf ,hell thats only 84$ difference for like 6 more ponies! bes t money ever spent for zilla mods ! theyre (lrd lt 500r pipes )not in production now, but still widely available through alot of shops

I found a guy that has a lrd pipe for my quad says it is good. Is that good for all around riding or just top end? How much is it worth?

The 4 that I like are LRD, CT, PTR & Trinity. All of them seem to be good all around pipes. ( except for the CT Outlaw) The Trinity is a more mid/top pipe. The LRD is adjustable. You can still get a LRD new but be prepared to shell out around 600 for one. I have a CT mid range on my Zilla because it is the only pipe that fits the LT250 frame. As for FMF & DG pipes for the Zilla, they are just light weight versions of the stock pipe. The only gains usually felt is from losing the restrictive garbage can of a silencer.

OK Wow those lrd pipes sound great. Does anyone know where I can get a new one or find one in good shape?
The one I found is pretty beat up and no sil. with it.

flea bay for sure ive seen em on there for much less than 600 dollars ,id say whatever your willing to spend on it if its in good shape you can fab a s ilencer very easy dont let something stupid like a hollow can deter you from that pipe ,fro m the one i rode it seemd to be more power ful in general throught rpm , much more grunt in midrange no bogging just pull! 1 in fair to good shape (pipe) id say 300 bucks
