Default KnN Air cleaner hitting shock

I'm not using the airbox and I have a 45 degree KnN on a Mikuni carb. The problem is the filter is to larg for the tight space between the frame and the shock. It does not stick out and hit ny leg but it gets messed up on the shock. Does any one make or sell an extension to move it around the shock. Any Suggestions????

What should I use to get a tight seal around the carb? I had a flexiable tube but it didnt look to good. Will I have to re jet with the longer tube. I was thinking of having a piece made out of stainless or aluminium. Would welding it to the carb affect performance if I went this rout?

I had the same problem.I just made a small rubber boot on the end around the filter where it rubbed against the shock so it wouldnt wear thru my pre filter. Its a pain when cleaning but the k&n with the pre filter seem to hold up pretty well between cleaning intervals!!!

Yeah It so simple if you think about it for a second. I have a small dent in mine for frame and shock clearance. I dont want to scratch my new marvin all up its way too pretty.
