I have a 07 Big Bear that I do alot of trail riding, rocks, mud with. I havent had a 2 stroke for about 20 years, so I very excited aabout getting my lt250r. I will be going to Little Sahara alot when spring gets here. I paid $1000 and it has all new plastic, new motor with about 10hrs, aftermarket head pipe (I dont know the make) and a complete set of sand tires. I guess I have a 85 frame with 87+ plastic? How can I find out what year motor is in it?

Yur lt250r is an 1985. Everything is an 85 including: Engine, frame, swingarm..etc.
The only think that is 87+ is the rear fenders & seat. The engine from 85-86 were the exact same except fro some small porting changes.
