Default Rm 80/85 Help!!!!!!!!!!

Just got an Rm 80/85 on saturday and am not sure of the year or size. was told it could be a 01 or an 02 the displacement on the engine says its an 82.

My brother rode it on saturday and it was fine but it took awhile to get started. He tried to take it out today It started first kick run a little then died, kicked it awhile then relized the fuel was off, he turned it on kick it twice it started then died, now it won't start at all, I bought a new plug and even checked the spark and it was fine put it in and no start... pulled the plug and it was soaked. i think it may be flooding because you can smell gas after awhile.

any one know the size(if it is an 80 then its an 01) or whats wrong??

Thanks in advance

UPDATE:

I checked the reeds, they were fine.
I used starting fluid and gave it some kicks, wouldn't start so i turned the choke off it fired up in 2 kicks, i then turned up the idle so it would stay running and my brother warmed it up and i fine tuned the idle to where he wanted it. He shut it off for and hour or so, and it started right up, only with the choke off, it won't start up with choke on.

any help?

also if any one can tell me the size of it wether it is an 80cc or 85cc it says on the engine its an 82cc
