i knew it looked bigger than a 125 just saying the cases looked similar to a 125 i had. if the 250 was as good as the 125 it should be a good little project, mine would run pretty strong and was very reliable.

well its for sure a 250 as stated above but if i had to guess a rm 83 to 85

I would have to agree that it looks to be an early 80's rm250 engine. Kinds looks like the 84-86 ts250x engine also.
