01 rm 250 Rebuild Help?

Recently Just bought an 01 rm 250, got about five hours riding out of it before it locked up! Nice 2.5 mile push back out of the trails. What I'm looking for is links to any good sites with good tech articles on doing complete overhauls? Any recommendations on what spealicty tools I should purchase, or rent? Recommended brands for new top end/ top notch replacement parts. New toy no expense will be spared. Any other recommendations I can upgrade or modify to get the most power out of this bike.

definitely go with a Wiesco Piston. I've heard good things about Cometic Gasket kits. Theres good replacement parts out there for nearly any bike. Check out websites like Motosport.com or RockyMountainATV.com .

Vforce 3 Reeds arent necessary but will improve your power a whole bunch. AfterMarket Pipe & silencer combo. An Aftermarket AirFilter would help it breath cleaner air. Get the Jetting spot on. Theres many things you can do to improve the power.

i would goo have the cylinder replated .,.squared cause it has issuse with intake bridges.. oem piston ,,,i have a complete bike torn down if you need parts 01 rm 250 low vin numbers
