It's an insurance policy...a crank separating in a motor spinning 9 to 10 K is a BAD thing.
All depends on your luck otherwise.

What mods are currently done, and where/how do you ride? What is your reason for being stuck on wanting more compression?

Only mods at the moment is boyesen reeds, none of the machine shops in my state port or anything. all they do is honing.(australia btw)

i want lower end torque and a bit more of a top end i ride sandy trails,fairly aggressive on the bike
and im always on the band and pipe i use the compression of the bike a fair bit but for going through water i need a bit more torque, read up and apparently more torque = more low end and top end.

i dont plan on getting an aftermarket pipe, but if i do probly PC factory works pipe.

Low end torque and more top end?? Tall order on a banshee motor.
If you have stock pipes, don't waste your time with shaving the head.

Get a timing plate, advance it to 4 degrees, and get a shaved flywheel....that will increase bottom and mid as well as allow it to rev faster.

So any ideas about the 125?

going off your last figures 0.30" or was it 0.20"? you said probably 15 psi give or take.

What would i notice in the way of performance difference?

To be honest, I'm not an RM guy...I don't know how much you can safely take off the head, I don't know a single spec on that bike other than it's a 125cc...

im gunna try for the 0.88 mm off the head and take it from there.

is there anything remotely similar to the engines?

would pitting in the squish angle affect the performance of the bike?
