trans fluid

is it ok for me to run dextron 3 mercon atf fluid in my rm 250?

It may not be ideal, But I have ran it in several of my machines for years.. and lots of other people do too.. I find some machines will actually shift better and have improved clutch action.. I change the fluid in mine after every hard ride... I like the idea of a cheap and frequent flush... Some people say that Type F fluid is better, but I have had no problems with either type... IMO if it provides adequate lubrication in a quad ridden on sand with paddles for years with no issues it should do just fine in a motocross bike

YEAH THE TYPE f IS BETTER SUITED OFR OUR TRANNYS BUT THE DEXTRON WORKS FINE TOO
