Thrust washer question

Do the wiseco pro lite pistons with 2 rings for an LT250r need or have thrust washers?

I've noticed that the magazines that sell the Wiseco pistons clearly state that you must use stock thrust washers.

This is why everyone hates the thrust washers because people cut corners and they fail or dont have any at all.
