| 20:1 was by 80's oil standards. Todays oil is a lot better. Thats my take on it, and i think that has been said a few times on here, can't remember who said it tho.

| Maybe if you're using 10-30wt for castor. Using modern oils you'd use the oils recomended mix or maybe a tad more, but not any specific mix for ALL oils. Besides, thinner walls would mean a richer mix not a leaner one. 20:1 is much richer with oil than 32:1. Your friends not only wrong, hes got it backwards. Even then, I wouldnt worry too awful much about thinner walls unless you're at the last possible bore, and even then I'd mix normal. Using a decent oil will make all the difference. |

| U definately want to mix your permix at the oil manufactureres recommendation for your CC size.It will say it on the back of the container. Most are 32:1 and some better oils are 40:1.I am running Amsoil at 50:1.Which i believe is the only one out there that is said to be best mixed at that ratio. As time progresses 2 stroke oils improve.LOL.And thats a good thing. And buy a viscosity cup.It helps.Try to stay with one brand and mixture so u can jet to that mix.
