LT500R Rt footpeg

I've owned the LT500's since 88 and have been on newsgroups since 90. Never have I seen a post about toe mashing on the LT500R. My first LT caused my foot to get wedged beween the kicker and footpeg, literally destroying the cartilege in my big toe. The kicker grabs the instep of my boot and the toe of my boot hits the backside of the footpeg. I've had to relocate the footpeg 2 inches forward on every LT500 I've owned. I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this problem.

Nope. I've started mine with both tennis shoes and modified combat boots(what I ride with now). The only thing that happens sometimes is that when I kick it over my instep will hit the arch on the foot peg cause my foot to be a pretty purple by days end. -Mark

Yeah that hurts! I sometimes do that on my LT250.

I've never wedged my foot, though.

Its something I got used to. The price one pays to ride the Zilla.

yup happens to me to. almost broke my toes when i first go it. now i put the kicker in the heel step of the boot and point my foot down words so it misses the peg. my toes go under the peg instead of at it.

I tried putting my foot in a specific place to avoid it. I ride so many different machines that I'd forget where to put my foot and WHAM, ouch. I just made a plate to relocate the footpeg about 2" forward of the stock position. Must be a size 10 and bigger problem, huh?

My combat shoes are size 11. I thing it boils down to foot placement. I put the kicker all the way in the rear of my instep. -Mark

my riding boots are a size 13 and almost allways will hit if i not watching what i'm doing.

i wear a size 15 and i almost always wear gym shoes and the few times i have kicked my zilla over i always hit the inseam of my foot on the foot peg and damn that shit hurts

Yeah it does...Big K, has yours ever kicked back on ya yet? I went to start that thing once and it kicked back on me and about threw me over the bars...
