Banshee Radiator on a 500 or 250

Has anyone out there tried this. It looks like similar mountings Just not sure if it will slide into the frame. I am thinking of buying the banshee radiator just to see if it will work if it doesn't it will go on my banshee. I figure there will be some modifications to make it work 100% but I think it would be a good thing for the LT world. What do you guys think has anyone tried it that can save me the time of trying? I really don't need a new radiator on the banshee so it would just be for the hell of it if it doesn't fit up to the LT.

Are Banshee radiators any bigger than LT radiators? I really don't see the point in upgrading the radiator on an LT, unless your stock one is worn out. It's not like LTs are notorious overheating machines, right?

Well the purpose is not that it overheats it's that you can run the motor cooler. Not to mention your talking 20+ year old radiators you can't tell me yours doesn't have a few bent fins.

I'll have to do some measuring tonight to see what I can do with it.

Very true. Some of the LTs are in horrible shape and I can only imagine how bad the radiators are. Sorry, I posted that when I woke up and I guess I wasn't thinking. Anyway, it's cool that you're willing to be the pioneer in this little project. Good luck!

I think it will fit physically. The side mounts go the opposite way but wouldn't be that big of an obstacle.

Thats what I am thinking. Just need some brackets to make it fit in the stock LT location. I measured the Banshee at 8 3/4" across and 10" I think from the top to the side bolts. They are very similar so I am thinking it will work I will just have to make some nice brakets or design it and have a local shop do up some billet brakets so it fitts.

I know my LT radiator is looking like junk so I figure others will be facing the same problem as I am.

Thicker yes but I don't think it is wider. There is enough room in the LT to accomagate thicker it is a matter of will it fit in the frame

do you think you would be able to stuff it under the stock nose plastic?

I think so as long as it fits between the frame I will figure out how to get it in there. If it doesn't work it looks like the banshee will be getting a new radiator.
