Default Banshee kickstart fit an LT?

Would love to have a shorter kicker. anyone know if a banshee kicker will fit or if there are any aftermarket ones? I have searched everywhere with no luck.

Why in the world would you want a shorter kicker? The LT one is long, which makes it easy to kick the LT over, and it tucks neatly out of the way. Plus, with the Banshee kicker, you'd get the "joy" of hearing that infamous rattling once it gets worn out. Does your kicker get in the way or refuse to stay tucked in?

Actually my size 12 leaves skid marks on my back fender everytime I kick it. I think it could stand to be a few inches shorter. There is no reason why a 250 should have such a long kicker.

I see. I was thinking if an RM shifter would fit on my LT because I'm trying to find a billet shifter. Maybe an RM kicker would fit on LTs. They may be shorter, but I'm not sure.

Yeah i could go for a shorter kicker. My toes go into the pegs and nerf bars. That or my foot gets ate by the plastic.

I want to know if you could just chop the shifter in half and be able to reweld it back together.

Yes, you can cut one shorter and weld it. But, if you're not an experienced welder don't do it yourself. It's easy to screw up a good weld. When I first started learning how to weld, I used to shorten/lengthen kickers and they'd break real easy next to the weld. Now, a mere 20yrs later, I weld up kickers all the time without problem. My XR600 is a 640 kit with high comp piston and power cam and I made the kicker for it. Hasnt broke in 5 years. Made my 490 kicker too, hasnt broke and thats about the hardest kicking old bastard I've ever kicked.

Cool, Any one know a good place to pick up a cheap kick lever to chop up? I'll just have the guy that builds all the buggy frames around here weld it up for me. But i'd want a spare before i touched the one i've got.
