oil in the crank case??

During a recent rebuild of an 85 yamaha tri-z i noticed that below the piston in the crank case there wasnt any oil, this made sense to me because this is where the fuel and air mix but at the same time i wondered how the berrings got lubed. Once the rebuild was complete the tri-z ran and is still running great. Last night i was rebuilding my 85 lt250 and i noticed when i turned the crank that there was oil in the case. Can anyone tell me if there is suppose to be oil in there and if so how does it not interfere with the air /gas mixture?

theres not supposed to be oil in there and the oil you saw in there is probably just extra gas oil mix. the premix oil in the fuel lubes the bearings. oh ya,aha tri z huh??? is it for sale??? or maybe for trade?? trade would be better.

freeland MI where is that at??? close to silver lake??? ever been to silver lake?? we will be going to silver lake in sep. and oct. as soon as we figure out the dates i'll post them. then maybe you could make your way over that way and we can get some E2s guys ridin. it woudl be great to get all teh E2s guys from indiana, illinois, and Michigan together and have a big ride weekend. and i probably don't even have to mention the big beer fest during the evenings.

hell yeah we are gonna have beer!!! whats a ridin trip without beer and a campfire when your doen roosting 4 strokes all day long. oh yeah i guess i'll hjave to race him with my 03 shee teh 370 will never be done in time. actually the 370 is in the 87 right now. it rips but it's also got a used topend in it. not gonan beat it too hard. and the 96 needs LOTS before it ready to rock. i'm guessing my 03 shee will still whip his craptor riding smart ass shit talking ass anyway. a rapcrap with a vavle job and a pipe is still nothing for a shee with t5'5 especially in the sand

i swear by silver lake, i go out there with my buds a few times each summer, as soon as my lt is done you can count me in, just post the dates.
