Default Heres What My 86 Mods So Far!!(Everyone Reply Please!!!)

Well i got an 86 lt 250 and wasnt sure if it was worth keepin but what am i talking about a Suzuki and any S is worth keeping.Heres what she has so far.I have Brand new Maier plastics on order.I went with a dark blue front fender and a black rear fender with a silver hood.Kinda like my Gixxer 1K..It has brand new maxxis razors in the rear with itp holeshot in the front mounted on douglas wheels.It has a fmf fatty gold series with a fmf silencer.Dg front bumper and moose racing rear skid plate..DG nerf bars and steel braided front brake lines.I have a new set of carbs to install.Anyone have any ideas on what to do next...I want this to go like my 01 Rappy but with the kick that a 2 stroke has.I havent pulled the head off yet so i dont know what bore it is and i doubt its ported and polished.Any Ideas Fellas???Thanks and what an awesome site...

get some lone-star crome a-arms, swing arms, axle and some pep shocks and it would be asome

No but as i read on here it sound like a good idea.And what is the story with the reed spacer...What brand and where should i buy it.How bout Jetting i think that s gonna be the kick in the azz...

You can't get a reed spacer for the 86 since the reeds are in the jug. Second of all I would make sure that you silencer is well packed. I just repacked my silencer since I had never done it since I owned it and it made a huge difference. What gearing are you runnin? I just changed my sprockets to give me more top end since I couldn't get the power to the ground. As for the jetting, that will be the easy part. If you need any help just ask. What type of filter are you runnin and are you runnin with or without the air box lid?

The entire exhaust is like brand new.Im not sure on the gearing ill check on that(probably stock) and it has a new k&n filter with the sock air box and lid.

i would start with some good reeds and a good port-n-polish then maybe a fresh top end depending if it needs one or not..just some ideas.

i have an 85 ported n' polish, it makes a big difference. What kind of new carb did you say you have?

I want to say it is a 38mm Kehin carb>>Where do i want to go for the port and polish job..I am in Massachusettes and all this is is new to me...Im used to street bikes...

I would definately get some +2 or some new shocks. Makes a big difference.
