What Reeds Should I Go With

I personally like 1dirRacing G3 Reeds. I try to push them on everyone because I really think that they are a better reed than anyother out there. My banshee with Toomey Pipes was running a 280 Main Jet once I put the G3's in I am now up to a 430. No other reed that I know of increases a main jet that much. With the increase in main jet comes an awesome powerband and crazy power.

I'm new to the 2-stroke world, so I don't really know as much as the rest of these guys about what works and what doesn't. As for where to buy, most of the bigger companies have websites, and you can order online, or they'll give you a phone number. Or you can get a copy of Dirt Wheels magazine (for the advertisements, not the biased opinions of the testers haha) they have pages and pages of ads in there. there's tons of people with LT250's on here that I'm sure could give tons of advice.

oh yeah jason didn't you bump up to 28mm carbs when you bought the reeds also?? that is probably another reason your jettign went through the roof.

Yeah I did but Still I thin with stock 26mm you would be at a 410.

yeah that thing must eat up some gas, pass everything but a gas station hu lol, i am only running 270 mains and i get just under 7mpg. i just put some boyesen pro series reeds in mine and i love em. they are a 2-stage reed. but then again i havent tried the ones that Banshee has either.

I usually go through a tank of gas every 5 hours of riding around the pit not sure how much if it is all day riding straight out. So yeah it does suck down the gas pretty fast. But Gas makes it go fast, so I'm ok with it. I'm just really nervous to go to race gas I can only image how much that would cost me.

f*ck race gas. $3.50 a gallon sucks. think bout this one day in the pit will cost you $17.50 in gas tehn about $6 for premix. thats an expesive day. and what you gonna get out of the race gas?? not as much as you'd think. i say make it fast on pump gas and have fun with it.

thats cheap,we pay 6.50 a gallon for c-12 and more for sonoco.about 40 a day to play,it sucks.as for the reeds those carbon tech reeds are great.low end, mids,or topend.whatever you want.Ive never had em crack or anything,"un-like boyseen" they are defenatly preformance reeds.
