| I just took out my 86 quadracer in the woods for the first time last weekend too. These quads are pretty sweet. My friend brought his raptor along. We switched and I deffinately prefer my quad to his. It's so much easier to handle in the tight woods. I think I'm gonna gear it down and get some smaller tires to bring out the bottom end a bit more. |

| I've just got my 89 LT250R going also. It is a pretty quick machine but it is a pain to start. i usually have to kick it atleast 20 times b/4 it fires and sometimes it helps to just pull the plug out and just put it back in. (even if it is a brand new on) Does anyone know what the problem may be? it is a quick machine. |

The new spring really seemed to help though went from 15 or so kicks to 1 or 2, you just have to make sure you install it properly--facing the front of the machine when locked in place! You have to take out your entire clutch basket to do this though (in order to manuever the spring into place properly), so I would recommend either waiting till you want to replace other things in there or be prepared for a little bit of work. Good luck, maybe somebody else will have some other ideas for you. |
