I have never ran one myself but I have heard that they don't really make much difference.

right now all I have is the set for the 88 and the 86 that is the one thing I don't have extra of. I would like to get a set of silver ones for my 86, right now I have white with a anodized blue color (not actually anodized) frame with silver a arms and silver swing arm. The 88 is black with silver and it has black front plastic and red rear plastic.

Roost boost actually does not replace anything in the electrical system. The roost boost gets put between your Stator and your coil. Just snipt the wires and place it inline between the stator and the coil.

My buddy put it on his 250R and he said it gave it a little more. If anything it will make your bike burn gas better. Also will probably not blow plugs as fast. I would say if you find one that is a good deal get it.

In short it gives you more and harder spark.

Ok that makes sense. I was thinking it replaced the cdi box. Maybe if I find one on ebay cheap I will try it out and see what happens. Thanks

the roost boost plugs between the pick up coil an the cdi box mine i have is for a 250r an it has 2 wires on the pick up coil to the cdi box but my LT250r pick up coil has only a one wire lead from it so they must make roost boost for different models ??? never seen a one wire roost boost but they may but as for a noticable increase in spark i have to say there isnt any notiable diff hey ill sell you mine cheap if you really want one....
