I would not take the chances or taking his sleeve out and putting it in yours. If his cylinder is cracked and you don't know how it happened it could have been over heating and the cylinder could be warped. I would just buy a new sleeve and sleep easy at night

I would check into the LA Sleeves. They aren't all that expensive either. It will probably run you about $100. As for the piston kit I would go with the OEM if you are putting it in a suzuki LT or a 500LT. Every now and then you can find a sleeve and piston kit on ebay for fairly cheap. Hope this helps.

i think a sleeve will run ya cheaper than 100. i know dennis kirk sells em for my R for like 60 or 70 bucks. But i would definately go with LA sleeve.

Just to let you know you can't just press the sleeve out you can damage the cylinder that way. You have to heat up the cylinder in an oven and that will make the aluminum expand which will make the sleeve slide right out then you will need to bore out the cylinder after it cools down and cut the top to receive the new sleeve re heat it put the new sleeve in and shave the top of the cylinder to make the sleeve even with the cylinder. You can get it done for around $100 bucks from most atv shops. if you have any ?'s feel free to ask I do several of these a week.
