| What type of riding/racing application benefits from no link rear suspension? I was always under the impression you got more travel with no link but I'm reading this article, http://www.elkasuspension.com/atv/pr...s.html#banshee , and its providing more suspension going the opposite direction. Sorry if this is begginer stuff but I know very litle about suspension. |

| i run a nonsuspended rearend on my cub and it seems to put every ounce of horspower right through to the rear wheels instead of soaking through the rear suspension or links ,its surprisng the diference that the rear suspension plays in how your bike handles ,reacts and tracks the ground .

| yea I know what you mean about the rear suspension soaking up alot of the power on the banshee. for a long time I never did pay much attention to it, but if you watch somebody ride a banshee on blacktop or anyplace where you got perfect traction, its kinda weird lookin, especially when the front and rear shocks are set pretty soft. like when you watch em kinda roll on the power from a stand still and then really hammar down into the power band and flyin through the gears, it looks like he whole bike just kinda bucks or bows up in the middle. its like the rear end, instead of squating down under acceleration, it more looks like it bucks up and raises the rear end, and the front shocks kinda extend all the way, soaking up all the sag. and like when I watch somebody ride my 250r on blacktop, it doesnt act like that. the rear end just squats down and stays down and the front end raises up, soaking up all the sag in the front end.

| they say that a -1 swingarm really helps with traction. heard some people say that it was like a night and day difference on how it helps the rear end hook up. the only catch is that it will wheelie alot easier
