Doesn't look bad at all. Search dc plastics on google and you will find most of the plastics on there. Guys on marks swapmeet should have the others for you. I've restored a few of these year bikes, they are fun.
thanks for steerin me to marks swap meet man, i got 3 guys with all the parts i need, gonna get what i need from them, as for plastics, i am gonna see how clean i can get these plastics, cause its a low budget build, haha... added more pics from tonight on my photobucket album
How are the seals? You may want to at least replace the oil, I'd run the covers. I've seem them for sale cheap like 13 bucks. Without the rubbers your probably going to go through seals more often.
i'll run the covers if i send them out for some work, i'm really not comfortable with myself doing seals and stuff like that, i'v watched a couple tutorials, i'm just not 100% shure on it...... but yeah, we may run it a lil without them for now, it looks to me as if the seals are okay, one of them has a tad bit of oil around it, but thats it......but in the future i plan to send the forks and maybe the rear shock out..
Looks good. Only thing I hate to tell you is the paint on the tank is going to bubble
Let me dig around the garage, I think I might have a number plate for it and who knows what else.
Forget that it's a four stroke site, but the author knows his stuff when it comes to restoring the plastic tank if you are wanting to paint the tank. The key to this is using the right cleaner and sealer on the inside of the tank.
do you have a manual with wiring diagrams? if you need a diagram ill see what i can do about scanning one for you i have the yz and it manuals
