Hey I was wondering what guys on here are the best engine builders with a cheaper price. I need to get my 1986 lt250r cylinder ported and the regular head mods.
1. I want to get it bored .20 over (its currently on a stock bore)
2.I will be trail riding/ offroad hill climbing/ and hare scrambles so I would need the port job to be based off of that.
3. The head mods such as cutting it for o ring, pump gas, squish, that stuff lol
How much would all of that cost me ? I was gonna have MHR do it but I am open to send it to someone else if they could beat his price.

everyone has a budget i know but id caution you dont get too hung up on price regardles of who you go with or talk to . remember its a one off custom service so it can vary and doesnt always reflect quality or value of the work ,its completely unique not like buying something at walmart ....that being said , the early model q racer cylinders have a a really goofy design and it needs lots of improvement .but the good news is with its big bore and short stroke it can make a great trail motor wit ha nice wide curve that can be lugged and still rev out high with the right pipe port and carb setup .the head is also not very well thought out and has alot fo squish clearance and poor burn rate when it was designed i nthe 80's .the flywheel is pretty heavy and by lightening it you can get better throttle response and a healthy increase in lowend snap the mikuni flatslide is dated and a good pwk kehein is a much better option for all around gains and improved signal response

Flotek knows how to make these bikes run hard, heres an old video of my LT250 that he did a trail port on, this thing ran hard as you can see from the video, I was able to beat piped banshees in the dirt with it.
