u want some american racers.. or hoosiers.. i think thompson makes a jr dragster tire also.. i'm nto sure what compound am. racer... i know i use sd23's on clay.. they'd probably hok swesom on asphalt but they probably won;t last long..

I've talked to a couple of people who ran slicks and weren't happy. Even though drag racers use them on cars, they don't seem to have the same effect on quads. Stick with american racers or Hoosiers.

the back of a quad is light... and part of the way a slick works is they expand with movement... on something like a car.. the tire pushes up while the weight of the car and gravity push down... this hooks the tire.. then as you speed up the inertia on the tire make sit expand.. the theory is... the launch is with a smeller tire.. and as youi accerate the tire expands and rolls liek a taller tire.. this effectivly changes your final drive ratio.. to where the ratio is optimum at more than one section of track.. this is the same theory used in skat trak sand tires.. espeically the triple buffs and superlites..
