Making smoothies

I wasn't able to find a smoothie tire for the 11 inch front wheel on my 84 300r so I shaved and smoothed my own, well I 'm at it again for my 350r dragtrike so I thought I'd share the process as I go you need lots of normal automotive razor blades and a cheap walmart razor scraper and don't be afraid to change blades often also you'll need a pair of pliers to grasp the knobs as you slice from underneath. Be very careful not to slice off too much because when it's all done you'll see gouges you want to leave just a little bit you'll still have to buff the tire with the grinder afterwards regardless I'm shaving a kenda front max and I also remove all the tire I.D from the sidewalls so it's just all blank.

Yep it's worth it though I'll continue posting pic's of the progress. Heres a pic of the finished product from the last tire I shaved it was the same brand and model of tire.

that smoothie had that much tread at one wow you did a good job on it also one question did them r's not have number plates or did you just leave them off

Thanks alot man also they had headlights but since its a dragster I removed everything to cut weight and the one on the right is my 125r flat tracker project and it's a 200x chassis they also had a headlight but that will be getting a number plate.

how hard was it to stuff that 125 motor in that 200x. We have one that doesnt run and we honestly dont want to fix it. What year model did you use and how bad did you have to modify the frame to make motor mounts work.
