Got my new skins, Check 'em out

So, I started a thread before asking about the quality of the tires I bid on (ebay). Nobody really came through with any solid info, just nay-sayers saying it was to good to be true, and it was a scam blah blah blah. Here is the ad,

Well I got the tires yesterday, and I got them mounted too. I did a little maintenence on the bike too, Devil Inside came over and we drank a couple beers. Today was their maiden voyage. The fronts are very good, A nice improvement over the 21's I had on there. Tread is nice and deep, plus they grab pretty well. Rears have very good forward traction, however side to side ins't as good as a set of holeshots. Where you gonna find new holeshots for 33.75 per tire and brand new? Your not even gonna come close. These tires are not gonna be entered in any mx race or hillclimb. They were bought to have a good time out there on the trails, going through water, climbing rocks and ripping down access roads. Generally getting beat on. And which they did pretty well. The only terrian I
did not run them through was mud, Iwas riding in the woods alone and did not want to get stuck out there!!!



I can not give an accurate measure to wear as of yet. But for my best estimate, having owned several different brands and being able to phisically inspect them now I believe that the compound seems to be on the soft side. If I get a couple seasons out of them I will be satisfied!!!

nice deal bro! i will be the first one to jump on this thread and igmit! i thought you were being scammed, and i posted on that other thread. you got a realy good deal on those tires, and i had a hard time believing it! but now i have been proved wrong! nice tires bro! if they lasted me 1 season it would be worth it at that price!

Those are actually really good tires.I had a set that lasted almost 2 years.The only problem is sometimes they are slightly out of round and the side walls are very soft.Just try to stay away from pointing out objects and they should last quite a while .Hey man for under $200 for a set of 4 tires is a smoking deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still haven't got a chance to go out on a good ride, it has been raining here for an eternity. However, today I think will be the day! Tonight I will try and post up some of the action.

Some of you guys got me thinking "did I just throw 130 bucks down the toilet"? It did start to seem almost to good to be true, then they didnt get here untill monday, when they were supposed to arrive on friday. Plus the seller doesn't answer his phone on the weekends. I was a little nervous, but now they are here!!!

Check the guy out, he is a little bit of a pain in the ass to deal with....but I believe I got a pretty good deal!
