On my rebuild I used a brass punch and a ballpin hammer. Works good!!!!

Big Fucking Hammer

your gonna wanna put something through the center and try and move the inner sleeve outta the way so you can catch the inner race of one bearing.. then your gonna wanna beat that with the BFH... that bearing will pop out....


oh and if your taking them out for powder coat or something like that... you will ruin the bearings on the way out sooooooooooooooooo put new ones in.. when you go to install the new ones... let temperaature work for you... get the hub WARM... warm to the touch is great.. and freeze the bearing overnight... they go in ALOT easier...

a shop i worked at we used a electric skilet with engine oil, set bearing in the hot oil and it went in place then cooled and had to beat out. or put it in the freezer workes good just like 370 said, they cool very fast
