Default torque wrench

gee i was using my wrench the other day out in the scrub, i hate carrying this thing with me when i go trails for 2 or more days.

then i thought is it really necessary to use this tool at all? i mean the only bolts i really use it for is for the top end, even then i still think its not necessary.

so the question is would it be safe to use normal ring spanners to tighten the cylinder and head of my bike?

I never used to use a torque wrench and never had trouble. BUT I finally got one and I use it on the cylinder when I put a top end back together now to make sure everything is ok even though I never had trouble before. If your going on rides I would just take the wrenches because the main thing is keeping them tight enough to get back home. It would be a hassle to take a torque wrench and if it gets broken it could get expensive.
