Anywayz, back to the topic... Thats prety sweet guys, im from around Pittsburgh PA, California PA they call it... but there some pretty awsome strip mines around there, they mine coal in all of that area.. thres literaly mines for miles and a quite a bit of riding if you get in teh right area

By far we got the sickest hills known and if you rode here you know that last year the big hill was the nigger hill but everyone started a new on its almost vertical at some spots runs for bout 200 yrds tall i know 2 450's a zilla and 2 500's do it not to piss anyone one off but a banshee has been tring for it the one time i was there and he would get up half way and just start going sideways i mean his tire probally were bad but it's a hill i'll try getting a vid of it some time
but we mostly do the Black desert since you can do alot of hairy hills you probally remeber black wood that was on the same level as glamis on memorial day the 4th and labor day foud some pics from 98 when there was aband out there i also ride in new philly sometimes my buddy owns a mine out there i go to skool with 2 guys from there the've been buggin me to go riding but just been so busy could go out your neck of the woods wouldnt mind going out when i did have the cr500 i did go out to the 209 strech just for a quick ride just to blow the carbon off LOL

I have never been riding down there. My cousin in Pottsville wants me to come riding with them, but I haven't had the chance to go yet. We always started from Hometown and either went North towards Hazleton or West towards Frackville and Shenandoah. Occassionally we would go East towards Nesquehoning, but there were only 1 or 2 good spots on the trip.

It's been a long time since I was last on that 209 stretch (for those unfamiliar, there's a dirtroad right alongside a 2 lane highway that has some huge straightaways. We've raced cars there, hehe.) The last time I was there I was on the Tecate 3 that's in pieces in my garage and my friend was on his CR500. Lots of fun and plenty of trails off to the sides. I haven't been riding down there because some years back Mary D passed a law about riding down there and they would fine you if they caught you.

Oh, and Foshezy, I went to Slippery Rock so I'm pretty familiar with the area over there. I had a girlfriend or 2 from Pittsburgh so I've been down that way. You ever been to the Switchback near Butler? I went there to watch some races while I was out there.

I go through slipperyrock every time i drive home. I actualy go to school at CalU but i live in the Oilcity/Franklin area
About Butler, i have a friend that lives there and he said were going to truck pulls and mudbogs on Friday night next week, i dont know if theyd have that at Switchback or not, ive never been there

I've been to Franklin too. Knew 2 ppl that grew up there. Amanda Williams and Elaine McMasters. I think they are around 26 and moved out of town.

i live 15 miles from the PA border, im in northwest NJ, so id definatly be down,,, i got about 5-6 friends who would probably come too, only 2 have 2 strokes, but who cares, the more the merrier right

Your a little late. The thread was started in may 2006 and this happened over this past summer. I would like to know if there is another even coming up like this coming July though because I would love to go.
