I've heard about El Mirage but never been to. The trails go far out behind the mountains for miles and bring you back around. There's also a kids track there & some nice flatts if you feel like opening it up!! This is closer but I like Gorman better, been there yet?

Never been to Gorman. I just got back into the sport. I used to ride a 110atc as a kid out in Simi Valley.

To date I've been to Ocotillo Wells and El Mirage. El Mirage has a wide range of riding areas. Some sandy hills, hardpack dirt and some really rocky ones. 24k acres of riding area including the dry lake for top speed runs. I really like it cause it's 45 minutes from home.

I will try Gorman some time. Whats the altitude there? 3800'?

Gorman is only 40 minutes for me. I like that place alot, very good trail riding there. Altitude is about 3800 ft, you should try it out. Welcome back to the sport Scargoes. Here's a Gorman link: Gorman in Hungry Valley, So Cal!!
