Default dusty day of riding

we went riding at some little farm that these people got a bunch of atv trails and it was only 5$ per person. the place wasnt real big, but it had alot of trails and a ton of steep ass hill climbs. and the place was a major dust hole. there was a big creek/river runnin through the place that was partly dried up and there was alot of gravel pits with hill climbs going up the banks. I almost had a big fuckup when I half ass tried to cross the big creek and was going to slow and burried the rear end like a foot from the bank. it was prolly 20 or 30 ft accoss and water almost over the tires. the silencer was under water and about half the motor, but it didnt get in the air box though, my brother helped me pull it out. then gittin back accross was fun to, it was runnin real good and I hit it a little faster but water rushed up all over me and flooded my airbox and I almost fouled out before I made it to dry land. and I even managed to save the plug in it instead of changing it. ran real strong the rest of the day. theres some pics of the bikes after we got back. and as you can see, we are

Sounds like fun.. Wish I was riding, that's for sure. Where's the action shots? Id like to see the river crossing.
Sounds like you barely saved your bike!

we got a couple cell phone videos of some little hill climbs, like only 10 or 15 feet high, but its straight up out of a river bed. i'll upload em on here later on sometime.

yea I dont know if I was more scared or pissed off when I buried it in the water like a few feet from the edge. the water was probably like 2 to 3 ft deep, lol I missed the shallow section where my brother on the naked banshee crossed it. but I was really surprized when we pulled it out and the air filter was dry, we just stood it up on the grab bar and drained the exhaust and it fired right up. lol I aint fuckin doin no more water crossings like that again . man I was thinking my motor was fucked for sure.

Cool!! Yeah scary thing!! I too have my intake exposed.. I cross over very slowly..
Friends in their 450's have the luxurious air boxes and just ram right thru it.
Bastards... looks like fun!!

yea the 450s have some really good air box designes, almost imposible to get water in em enless you get it up over the seat. Im thinking about running it with my air box lid on and using the snorkel tubes and rig up somewhat of a water proof intake. man I should post up a pic of my uni filter, its solid brown from all the dust.

we might be goin out to west virginia to hatifeld mccoys (maybe) next month some time. its like a 7 or 8 hr drive.
