depends on how tight the trails are, i trail ride mine 90% of the time and love it.. but if its real tight, rough trails, swallow your pride and get a 450 or 700r, even so though, i ride my shee through some pretty rough, tight shit sometimes and i still love it, id never get rid of it, the only way id get a 450 or 700 is if it was my backup/2nd quad, nnothin like the fun poweerband of the 2 stroke twin\
whatever you do please dont buy a 400cc 4 stroke because people say they make good"trail" quads.. they are about as far from fun as you can get without buying a 300ex.. if u go 4 stroke at least get one with some balls like a 450 or rapturd700

A 250r would be your best choice, the Lt250r isnt that bad either. The banshee is a little long for the trails. Not to say that it cant be done, I have done it. If you are set on getting that banshee, and you only do trail riding, you might want to think about getting a -1 or -2 swingarm.

Other quads that would be good in the trails are:

LTZ-400, KFX-400, & 400EX

However if I were you I would stick with the 2-strokes.

i trail ride the shee all the time and absolutely love it . i only take the yfz as a backup bike for me or a bud.im ahead of all my friends all the time and they all have 4 strokes except for another 1 who got his shee. it just takes getting used to.

Get the banshee it is good for trails. I disagree that it is too long for trails. Even with A-arms that make the bike 1 inch longer I still think my bike is too short.

who cares whats better, the challenge is hitting the trails on something that is 2wd and has only mid and high end power, plus its fun to ride, warriors are mad boring, same wiht all those other 4 stroke quads, get a shee, you wont be sorry, only reason why you would be is cause its not a bike hahahahahaha

i have a yfz450 and used to love riding trails on it mostly because it has tons of bottom end power but now that i have my shee i would rather ride it. the yfz has great suspension and flys but just dont have the snap the shee has. the yfz was a little easier in the tight difficult trails just because the banshee wasnt ment to ease around on. i think the shee would be great if you ride on good open trails that you can keep a little speed through but if you have to take your time and creep the shee isnt for you go ahead with the 4-pokes.
