i probabley start like 5 to 10 feet from the bottom and dump it in 2nd and hit 3rd right when i get to the bottom then climb all the way up with about half throotle or a little more and if its rough i lean forward and goose it hard and i make it

but is also depends what kind of bike u have and tires
my 250r has to be winned out pretty high becouse of no traction with the bald tires so i spin the whole way up

a banshee u have to hit the hill hard and at top u have to been on it hard the whole way up and have it screaming becouse it has no bottom end at all no torque escipally with tommey 5's ....lol its all mid and top end

I fan the clutch with intent to maintain a perfect balance between wheelspin and wheelie.... and usually blast rocks off the top like a effing champion... practice, practice, and practice....

Maybe you give us more detail on the hill. each hill is different to climb.

wel....... its been a long time since i have experience a roll back, and had to make a run number 2....... lol.... i usualy do what savage said.... hit it in a lower gear and wind it out.... practice practice. as you ride more and get older, you will make better and better decisions on what gear you should be in, and when, and how much throttle..... you will get it, but practice makes perfect.....

it all depends on what kind of tires. with the stock tires to climb the biggest hill I have around here I needed to get a run at it in 3rd gear and drop down in 2nd on the way up and i would get to about 10 feet from the top and had to turn around. with my RAZR 2 I take off in 2nd gear dead stop from the bottom of the hill and make it all the way or wheelie my way up and get the same distance as the stock tires.
