no but i want too. hell the gas gas dealer here doesn't even have a quad in stock. if you want one you have to order it. hmmmmm let me see a $9000 purchase taht is sight unseen. yeah i think NO!!!

yeah right! they seem like one hell of a good bike though, got great reviews to, i like the way they come all set up and ready to go. but then again for 9 grand they should be

pull the carbs and clean your main jetts as well as the pilots just buy a deal of carb cleaner and find a wire brush steall a wire a single wire out of the brush and shuv it through the jets then blow through the jets with the carb cleaner then check the float height should set 20-22mm 0.80-0.88 in
and let me now if you get it goin good...

your lucky i ran a compression test on my old one and only got 100 on one side and 50 on the other

i just read the whole thread and was thinking electrical the whole time but you say that after a carb disassembly the problem went away? i know that an intermittant spark will cause backfiring. while the engines not firing it loads the cases, cylinder and chamber with fuel and as soon as your spark returns it ignites the fuel built up in the chamber. we all know what happens when you take a volume of pipe, fill it with fuel then ignite it, right? or you said the plugs were black and wet. perhaps it was soaking the plugs just enough to prevent a spark every once and a while but not completely fouling them? keep us posted here and let us know if the problem comes back.
