Default dealer fu**ed me over

i bought my 00 yz 125 and it leaked coolant because the dealer broke it and didnt fix it, so i bought a new one. i got the new head and ring seals. i didnt put more than 5 hours on it and the seal rings blew out. My dad thinks i should bring it to the dealer again i said no and we got into a fight. i bought it for $1500. i now have more that 500 just in it before that head went out. im pissed because it broke again. My dad thinks the dealer is the way to go i say fu** that place ill do it myself. What would you do?

yea man screw the dealership, dont let em take anymore of your cash from ya. its pretty simple to fix it youself. just buy a clymer or other kind of repair book. and are you talkin about the cylinder head and gasket, or the water pumper area. I didnt quite understand what part you was talking about. and can you take any pics of it? it'll help explain it a little better.

i bought it 3 weeks ago now, i was looking at it and i noticed that it was leaking coolant on the head. I thought it was just a loose clamp, so i went to tighten it up and the spout on the head was broken off. The person who had it before me broke the spout out, cut it to get better flow of coolant. they put it back on with like some super glue shit that didnt work. so that brings me to me getting a new head from them and seals. i put that on myself and when i was driving the other day it was bogging bad, so i opened it up and the new seals they gave me blew out and my bike hydro locked up. i talked to the dealer and they said it was my fault for not bringing it down to them. even though it was there fault for giving me the wrong seals.

i'd suggest maybe taking a look at the top of the cylinder. You might need to remove the studs from it and maybe take it to a machine shop or someplace and have it decked or resurfaced to make sure its flat. and also check out the new head you bought and make sure its flat to where it bolts down on the cylinder. maybe have em resurface it to. and it uses like a thin black metal head gasket dont it? look for some stuff called copper gasket sealant and it will make sure you dont have any leaks.

back when I had my cr125, I had a bad spot on the head where it was eating the head gasket and leting it leak coolant into the cumbustion chamber. was goin 5th gear pinned one day accross the field and all of a sudden it just bogged bad and rolled to a stop. no compression after that and I pulled the head and found a piece of the piston above the ring had broke by the exhaust port and I wasnt getting a compression seal. it broke like that from the coolant leaking in and cooling the piston and caused it to break
