 sometimes i just never learn
ok ebay is a wonderfull place sometimes . this is a long story but i bought a 45$ bike ......a 78 it 250 that lost a big rod bearing while i was riding it 2 summers ago. i paid 45 bucks for it so .. that winter ... ok i buy another bottom end off ebay . when i got it rod bearing has a nice ammount of play side to side . not good . as well as the shifter shaft was bent back cracking the case . this now has like 4 tubes of epoxy and apiece of fuel line epoxied in as a seal . nice piece of junk guy was almost local and wouldnt allow it to be picked up .. {i will leave out his ebay id , i got a posative he got a negative and he seams to have mended his ways of selling shiney side up ..dirty side down..guess ebay gave it to him } so low and behold i get a junkyard motor in last winter a it 400 ,bike was layed down years ago and left sit . fly wheel key was sheared top ends fresh piston 050 bore been honed to many times fo my liking , i get a few top ends from ebay . pay 125 bucks for a top end piston rings etc , suposedly for a 75 mx 400 . nope 77 78 dt400 and the piston was junk one of the ring pins whent south . small ports still std bore so another person sells me new wiseco pistons std and 050 for 40$ each .. i have enough to put a 400 together . ii bought like 4 more 400 1w4 jugs , and have like an assortment . i also get an fresh 080 over out of thisgarage i cleaned out. still have yet to put this together . last winter i was drunk and bought the 400 engine pictured below . yea its a toilete i was drunk and said hey 50$ with shipping yeah , so i got good the stator flysheel for a 77 78 it 400..wait=- that what i did for ove a month the guy dicked around and finally sent it fedex . fedex driver hands me this beat up package and hauls ass out of here . they drop this without a chute . busted the clutch basket bent the rusted rod and bent the jug studs . they also denighed my claim .. gonna get back to them on that real soon ...yeah its a toilete but the cases and tranny are still good ..
now i ebays won . 2 spare 400 cranks ok i am doing good along comes a it 400 jug still std {it yz 1w4} i get that for like 20 bucks with shipping .. i bought a few things from that guy other times cranks jugs etc ..this made up for all the times i got smoked .. std and looking tight for a big bore !
ok the old it 250 swing arm needs bushings and the right tank. and the shocks getting soft .. so what do i do buy another toilete on ebay pic of bike is attached . ugly as sin that pats bike was made up of a few diff bikes , has air forks , a super stiff shock , good swing arm bushings . no seat i havea spare ... engine is a sewer .. tranny shifts like into what gear does not stop on the drum right could be annything . the flywheel and mag are froma dt 75 76 ish . top end is suprisingly good 60 over wirseco . rod moves up and down /side to side . crank bearings you can move up and down from moving the flyweel up and down . water in the bottom end . yea its a sewer 76$ parts bike
yeah so the bad thing is sometimes i burn myself but ocassionally another ebayer makes up for the bad so its just ugly if you look at it that way .. i sepmnt enough money i will have a pretty nice engine on a half way descent bike for a few bucks and alot of time
