I got screwed over

I recently bought a 86 lt250r at night it seamed all fine and the owner said it was a good solid machine. The first day I got it home the lower ball joint let go and the quad endoed on top of me. I got it into the shop and realided it had 2 different shocks on the front and it has low compression damn it!

i got a problem with the topic of this post. it says I GOT SCREWED OVER. there are some things i can see you may not know about a quad when you buy it....but common, 2 differnt shocks and low compression? those are both things you can look at before you fork over the cash. Even if it has shock covers, you could have taken them off for 1 min. to look at the contents. Yes, you did get a bad deal, but that isn't nessasarily all the sellers fault. I hope we all learned from lt250rfoxkid's mistake.

Don't ever buy things like quads, cars, or cycles at night. It's not to your advantage. It is to the advantage of a shady seller like this one, though. I'm not sure there's anything you can do because you bought this quad used and on an as-is basis. Anyway, it sucks you got ripped off, but you have a pretty good candidate for project quad if you want to do that.
