Default Forte' Cycles Sucks! Avoid !!!!!

After being absent from the off road scene for years I got a 88 KX 250, that was built to the gills. It was great for months, untill, it lost spark. Thinking dollar wise I opted to take it to my nearest dealer, (75 mi. one way) to get it diaged, then I'd put the parts on myself. They said two weeks wait. I said ok. Well she sat for 5 + weeks there while they performed new crate builds & friggin' oil changes. The whole time I was led on by the service "ass pirate" saying " "we'll get to it today". Finally I picked her up with no diag performed. Got on the all mighty internet & fixed her myself! Gotta throw this dealer under the big bus. It's called FORTE' CYCLES in Fort Walton Beach Fl. I've been in ther in the past for a irridium plug,minor nut or bolt etc. & they always had to order it. WTF?? Plus they only have 2 people there which I did'nt know till the 5 week ordeal went down. 1.The (non schooled tech, ie: shade tree guy) & 2. the ass pirate service/sales/ custodion guy.Oh & get this, the "ass pirate" service guy told me that there was no ignition replacement whatsoever except for genuine rape you factory parts because he said my bike was "obsolete"! I saved close to $1,200.00 in change by not getting the corn-holey-ohh & doing it myself! So now I go to my local Suzuki store. The owner is always there & even though he knows I got a ole school KX he still rummeges in the back for my nuts n bolts etc. & 99 pct. I score there!

unless it requires machining or if you're really not comfortable doing it then just get a service manual and do it yourself, even if you have to buy specialty tools it will still usually be much cheaper than taking it anywhere

dang... that sucks... i had a similar experience with my jetskie at a local dealer about a year back....... they suck!... and i just recently heard that they are going out of business! so its true what they say, "what goes around comes around"! i told everyone i saw for like 3 months about it... and i ran into a bunch of other people who also had issue's with them.... after word got out, they couldnt get business... i gave the jerks my brand new barely paid off jetski.... with the cover! to get a stator replaced... said they would be done in 2 weeks... 4 months later, i was done with there excueses! i went to pick it up, and found it behind there shop, in the sun, without the cover! it had been there the entire time! i was like where the fuck is the cover i gave you? and why isnt it on? they were like, oh, it blew off a day or so after you droped it off... so we left it up front... and i believe it got stolen... wtf? the entire jetski was sun bleached and ruined! the seat had crackes so big i could stick my fingers in them! i gave them my brand new jetski and they gave me a delapadated piece of crap.... sory for the rant... im still pissed off about that....

bro i would contact an attorney and have them replace the damage or the ski, as well as the cover... I dont understand how people think this is ok to treat people like that!! I run a service shop for transformers and treat every customer like they were my only customer!!! boo forte's boo

That sucks. There are a few places around here that are like that. My friend has an LTR that went in for a valve adjustment. It took them 3 weeks and when he got it back he rode it for 5 minutes just for it to blow up because of a clogged oil port. Then the dealer tried to say they werent paying for it. So my mom called shes a lawyer and they decided to fix the bike for free. haha
