wow my friend lost a bid on a trailer the other day and from dublin, Ireland someone sent him a second chance offer. Damn this is a huge scam.

yea my bus driver had one happen like that, he asked me about it cuz he asked what i thought about ebay before hand cuz he knew im on there quite often and i told him dont go for it, and well good thing he didnt.....ohh and i had gotten one of those second chance offers, but i check in my ebay messages and it was in there too, would that mean that it actually was a ligit deal with the guy?

If it was from the same user id then it was legit. If not it was someone spying the auction and they sent that same message to everyone that bid on that auction. They just click on the bid history and do that. Some ppl might be legitimately doing that, but more often than not it's a scam. Besides, it's against eBay rules to do that.

never pay for anything on ebay unless it is money order or paypal or ebay escrow services....otherwise you have no protection..

i never buy anything off e-bay. Good deals sure but alot of people get fucked finacially because of that site.

I have bough alot on on ebay; from a .65cent light bulb to a $3000 banshee. I just see it as being very easy and quicker rather than ordering from a company... Some people tell me that its easy to get shafted but in the over 60 things iv purchased, its never happened, you gota kjnow wat your doing. Also people tell me that its underselling the little guy and puting them out of business also that its ruining the economy....? i dissagree, most people on ebay are little guys that are making a business by selling stuff they purchase and puting it on a global market. Alot of people make a living off of ebay.

call me ol skool but that whole buying on ebay has never convinced me and now that i keep hearing about the scams i rather just buy person to person

If it wasnt for ebay I would have a hard time finding parts for all my antique cars and bikes. At least ebay gives you a fighting chance to get a good price on things.

You can also go to look at most expensive items before you even bid. Just contact the seller.
