twin isn't going to pimp himself and Jim is hardly ever on the net anymore. don't get me wrong. Denny is good. but they don't get in pissing matches over threads like these. and Jim and Denny are friends so they're not gonna duke it out over the net.

you're going to slip your clutch like a mofo. you're going to need a lock up and mostly likely a duneable override trans...... banshees don't shift well under alot of power i.e more than about 60hp. you're gonna be sitting on top of about 80-85hp. after 3rd gear it's gonna be a bitch to shift and mostly likely won't.

the duneable override trans can be used exactly like a stock trans. except you can ALSO upshift without ever letting off the throttle or pulling in the clutch

i was the original owner of chris jugs, yes they were very nice took a bit to get dialed in but i think i pretty much figured it out.

you dont need to run a lockup on that motor just a good clutch with 6 stiff springs.

another thing you cant run a duneable like a stock tran, meaning DONT BACK LOAD THE TRANNY, dont let the motor slow you down pull in the clutch it will smoke the forks. jim will tell you that.

im buddies with both denny and jim, both make good motors so i dont think you will have any issues with either.

if you get a passion motor i would suggest getting one like what mine was very broad power. chris will tell you that. if you do, i can help you with jetting and other info.

also a broad powerband is IMO the best and most fun way to have power. It's everywhere can be sooo broad/smooth. Then if you need some snap, BAM it's there. I've road a little cub that was drag ported, it pretty much sucked ass for anything but drag racing.

wow i didn't know my little stroker was so popular.. haha... realistically you don't need a lockup, big swingarm, or a duneable... i rode mine (and wes rode his) with a +4 arm, stock trans, and a good aftermarket clutch.. i ended up going with the duneable, lockout, and +6 arm. because i drag raced mine more than any other type of riding... if your looking for soemthing to appear stock.. you may want something a little less agressive... the enien setup i haev is actually a 3/8 mile oval setup... it's not a drag engine.. but i love it none the less... oh and the big brother to the 12 port is an X3... not sure if jim still does that port job or not... and wesw is the setup man on this engine... i cloned wes's setup whe i bought the cylinders from him... it's always ran great for me...

denny does god work as well... can;t go wrong either way IMO

No offense to Denny or Jim, but why would you only limit yourself to only two builders.
That's like going to one dealership for one make of car and choosing between only two models out of all the kinds on the lot.

I would call a dozen builders, see who calls you back, see who treats you right, see gives you good pricing...but to be 100% honest, see who asks the most and the right questions. Also...being the busy season for California...see how long the wait is. Cheaper is never better when it comes to motor work...

Ive already done everything mentioned in the above post, I am now looking for people who have services that were done by these 2 engine builders. I didnt just pick 2 names and stick with them. I have talked to denny in the past about porting for my lt250 and I have seen alot of his work on this site. I have contacted gass rx, patriot racing, spec II, passion racing engines, and dynoport.
