what i ment was as air travels along a wall such as a pedel or port it will double in speed . as it travel down the wall . if it hit a bend or edge it will then slow down.. to prove my point next time it s windy out go to the back edge of a wall/building, house what ever opposite side the wind is traveling in and feel the air speed at which it levels the wall. the corner techinaly get a air speed meter it is about double static or straight wind in the open. cool

True you want laminar flow. When air touches an wall or edge there is surface tension. Threrfore creating ripples, & pushing against the oncomming air. I am in HVACR Design classes & all of our homework is basedon flow dynamics, its kind of neat to apply.

will be a little probably not to the seat of pants but on a dyno it will make a difference. no different than cast mark in the ports if you just remove them .. dont hog it just clean them off it helps air flow some case a horse or more torque... its like the base gasket on the cylinder, i see 600 dollar port jobs then they just slap the gaskets and go match them,,,, well worth your time,,, just my 2.1 cents.. my first set for my rm in 2001 had bad cast marks in the reed block/pedel area. the vforce deltas. some of the best money ive spent on reeds.

oh damn! i am recently planning to purchase some vforce reeds for my shee.... let me know how easy the return goes? that way i can screen the product i recieve until i get a pair that meets a good standard of quality......

kinda sucks though... cause if they end up being dicks about the return of the product, its not like i can take my money elsewhere... we all know vforce is the best power result.... where else would i go?

if you can clean a gasket you can clean the flaws off they are really small but will effect the flow. im just a profectionist kind of anal at time, about things. i noticed my on the pedel openings.

Thats makes a bit more sense, fluids are actually much much more complicated than that but a general idea goes a long long way.

Remember a sudden expansion while not as bad as a oncoming reduction, but it is still bad as it causes eddying which will again decrease laminar flow. As said all of these should be matched up as best possible.
