tryin to post a video

ive got a video of me on my R6 doin a burnout untill the tire explodes. by the time i was done the motor temp was up at 245 degrees. i know its not a 2 stroke but the way the power hits on this thing makes it feel like one. im having trouble uploading it. i converted it to a zip file. the whole clip is a little over 2 min long. its kinda a large file also, do i need to cut the quality down to make it smaller or what?

here is a pic of it. kinda blurry cuz my camra man was trying to take pictures and film at the same time.

As long as you zipped the file it should be fine. What size is the file?

the zipped file is 367 MB. when i try to upload it just sits there with the little flag it the corner waving. i let it sit there for 5 hours. i have a cable internet connection.

Yeah that is a tad big for the uploader program. It I think has a max of 32mb not sure I would have to look. But I am guessing from the file size that it is raw footage off of your camera. Here is a link to an encoder the make the file smaller. when it asks you the question about what type of file you want say that you want a streaming video. If you have any questions let me know. If the file size is still huge then you might need to break it down into clips

I just downloaded the encoder. I just bought a digital camera/cam and didn't know how to get the file size down. That encoder works great. You never know what you'll learn browsing these forums. I took a file that I had that was 95 mb and made it 463 kb. Thanks.

Have you ever made a video like with subtitles for the "featured people" and animated text and stuff. I have all the video put together and the soundtrack in place but I forgot how to incorporate the macromedia flash texts and titles and everything into the file and have it work right

the encoder worked great. my 505 mb file was reduced to 4 mb with not much quality loss. thanks banshee.

I will get that out soon. I have a bunch of video that I need to get out there. As for the subtitles I use Sony Vegas 5.0 and it has all the animated subtitles and stuff like scrolling text. Its kind of expensive but its worth every penny to me. I have never used macromedia sorry.
