Tachometer with shift light

Hey guys I'm trying to rig up a tachometer and shift light on my Banshee. I have a PVL ignition. Dennis Kirk sell a couple of tachometers but i dont think they are ste up for a shift light. I looked on summit racing and you can buy a small shift light with a built in tach but I'm not sure if it'll work with a PVL. I'm sure I'm not the first person to go about this so if you have any info or ideas post it. THANKS

I think the shift light is part of the tach, So that doesnt matter on application, its getting the tach to register on a 2 stroke 2 cylinder. And i dont think any of the big manufacteurers make one for that (autometer etc)

Wait, What?? WTF?? You cant figure when to shift your Shee based on your senses? My Shee is like a part of me , I can feel it as if we are one. You need to learn this.

I know that with an autometer tach you have to set it for either a 4,6,8 cylinders.
But I "think" it would work for a two cylinder banshee because it is of course a two stroke and the coil will fire as many times in one RPM as a 4 stroke 4 cylinder engine.

I'm going to check that trait tech one out thanks. The reason I was asking about one is because when you are racing in the ET class the more constant you are the more you'll when. I race on asphalt 1/8 mile

what kind of times are you running, another thing tht will help you win races is having a good reaction time. sometimes a shift light won't you any because i have broke out by .004 before. that was a close race.

it would be cool to have one, untill the bulb burns out and your waiting and waiting for it to come on wile the other guy pass's you! hahahaha
