Mikunis are a great carb to learn on, I wouldnt buy Kehiens unless a builder familiar with your setup hooked you up. Once the dumps are drilled on one they are done. Mikunis are interchangable, they all seem to yield similar performance as well in different hands so find a set for a good price and start learning.

Yeah Lectrons are the best when it comes to Alcohol carbs, any big motor has Lectrons on it, they are however, very very delicate and sensitive to weather changes...I've seen guys have to tune their quads after every run on a 300ft dirt drag and still not get it right.

I haven't seen anything or heard anything bad from Lectrons, most of the guys with drag bikes here all have Lectrons. One guy's got a 350 drag quad with Lectron 36mm carbs and with a 170 lb rider it runs 4.20's in 300ft. I haven't heard anything good from Mikuni carbs, most of what I've heard has all been bad actually...

i have lectrons on mine and would not trade them for anything, my buddy has a set of ftz's on his banshee and he likes them. the powerjet set up is a little tricky though, but there is a big difference between alky and gas.
