You're going to have a lot of money invested to make a Banshee run MX, even so, the frame geometry on the 250r is much better suited for MX

yeah I raced my banshee MX, it costs a lot of money to make it competitive though, but if your just screwin around its fine. I'd suggest wider axle and a-arms, at least front end suspension upgrade, a -1 or -2 swingarm, single carb and possibly a 2-1 exhaust (never actually tried the exhaust but I heard good things, everything else I've tried)

and as for GNCC the banshee is also good, but tough to work with, you need a lot of low end-mid range grunt, otherwise you'll have arm pump in about 10 minutes from all the clutching and constant throttle pumping. But with some work they are great and VERY fun on a gncc course. I've raced 4 or 5 gncc's and its a BLAST, great environment, great people, I always stayed and partied and watched the bikes race too.

for those conditions it is ideal on a banshee ,less wheel spin =better hookup and its shorter overall to allow for tighter terrain and turns . getting the weight over the rear wheels is a big advantage for a banshee... of coarse tire choice and gearing need ot be considered to keep front end controllable.extending the swingarm is good for duning and dragging where spinning issues arent as important and horsepower output is generally much higher .cant win a race if you are looping out
