Default push rod replacement

Ok, guys I got a stupid question, what is involved in replacing the push rod on my banshee? The tip of my current one is breaking and eroding as was my push lever, but I welded the lever and it is as good as new but the rod is not something I want to try and weld, I have already bought a new rod, I just need to know if it can be pulled out and the new one put in just by removing the clutch? Or does the case need to be split?

Also does anyone make an aftermarket push lever, made of better steel, in case my lever wears out again?

Thanks for the input fellas

i'm 99% positive you can change the rod with only taking the clutch apart.

Never seen an aftermarket push rod......However, a good machinist might be able to make you something more durable......

I've found that once you drain the tranny oil, the ball bearing will magically drop right into the bucket of fluid...as if drawn to it by nature... LOL....

Get a pancake bearing...never have to worry about the ball welding itself to the rod again...

I simply tipped the bike over, the rod & bearing slipped right out.
Once the clutch is loose the Push Rod slides out. Only one way in & out.
